Get answers to common questions about Neck waxing .
Neck waxing removes hair from the root so regrowth typically appears in 3–6 weeks depending on your hair cycle. With regular sessions, hair often grows back finer. Individual factors like hormones and skincare influence timing, so maintenance every 4–6 weeks is common.
Some sensitivity is normal, especially on first waxing. We use high-quality wax, careful technique, and soothing pre/post-care to reduce pain. Avoid caffeine, and take ibuprofen thirty minutes before if concerned. Communicate with your esthetician for adjustments during treatment.
Ensure hair is at least 1/4 inch long so wax can grip effectively. Exfoliate gently 48 hours prior, avoid retinoids, sunburn, and heavy lotions on the day. Clean, dry skin helps provide the best, safest waxing result.
Avoid hot showers, heavy sweating, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Apply a gentle antiseptic or aloe vera to soothe skin. Skip exfoliation for 48 hours and wear loose collars to prevent irritation. Contact us if you notice unusual redness or bumps.
Waxing can help by removing hair from the root and promoting smoother regrowth. Regular exfoliation and professional technique reduce ingrown risk. For persistent ingrowns, ask our estheticians about targeted exfoliation, chemical treatments, or tweezing to safely clear trapped hairs.
Clients with recent sunburn, open wounds, active skin infections, severe acne, or using certain medications (Accutane, recent chemical peels) should avoid waxing. Pregnant clients and those with blood-clotting disorders should consult their physician before treatment. Call us if unsure about your condition.
