Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Wax.
Trim or allow hair to reach about 1/4 inch so wax can adhere. Avoid heavy tanning and skip topical retinoids 48 hours prior. Arrive clean, avoid alcohol, and bring valid ID to confirm you are 18 or older.
Pain varies by individual and area sensitivity; most describe a quick, sharp sensation that eases as the session continues. Our skilled estheticians work efficiently, and numbing options or post-care soothing products can help reduce discomfort.
Hair should be approximately 1/4 inch (about 6 mm) for best results. If hair is longer we may trim slightly. Hair that is too short may not remove effectively, so allow at least two weeks of regrowth.
Most clients return every 3 to 6 weeks depending on individual hair growth. With regular waxing, hair often becomes finer and sparser, allowing longer intervals; we’ll recommend a personalized schedule during your visit.
Active infections, open wounds, recent surgery, certain skin conditions, or recent use of isotretinoin make waxing unsafe. Please disclose medications (like blood thinners), pregnancy, or skin issues so we can advise or reschedule safely.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise, and sun exposure for 24-48 hours. Wear loose clothing, skip harsh products, and gently exfoliate after 48-72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Use soothing lotion as directed if irritation occurs.
